Maddy Aldis-Evans was born in Leicester, England in 1971. She was educated at the Birmingham Conservatoire and the Royal Northern College of Music where she studied Composition and Oboe to Postgraduate level, winning several prizes and awards for her compositions. Maddy now lives in Germany working as Oboist and Cor Anglais player with the Anhaltisches Philharmonie in Dessau, and as a freelance composer and arranger.
